Welcome to our Christmas Holiday display web site. We call our
display "A Chadwick Bay Christmas". It is located at 131 Willowbrook Ave., Dunkirk, New York. Before Dunkirk was incorporated as a city it was known as Chadwick Bay.
This display is owned by and designed by Tim Peterson. With a bit of help from Bob Peterson. This is an animated light and music display. It is run by 64 channels of Light-O-Rama controllers.
We have been working on this display--designing, sequenceing music, building the "props", putting up lights etc. since July. When completed, it will have over 7,500 LED lights and 3,500 feet of extension cords.
Well, the 2007 Christmas season is finally over and it's time to start thinking about the 2008 display. We were quite satisfied with our display last year and have promised we would do more this year. We're working on it. We have placed an order for 10,800 LED lights from a vendor in Kansas and have just placed an order for six more sets of controllers from Light-O-Rama. That means we will be going from 64 channels of animation to 160 channels of animation for next season. We also have invested in a welder just to make "things" for the display. Just doing our part to help stimulate the economy.
Sorry to disappoint but we will not be able to have a July 4th
display. The order for the new lights won't be in until at least the
middle of July because of the earthquakes in China.
The good news is--we're already working on music for the
Christmas display. Much of the music must be edited before we
start to sequence the light show. Lots of work--but worth it.
And--we've just received our order for 60 mini strobe lights. That takes us up to 84 strobes.
